I was completely ready to be disappointed. I mean, really, what can a book do in a little over 100 pages? Well let me tell you, I was very pleasantly surprised. The characters are well developed, the story is believable and looks to be the start of a great series. I love our strong, broken Felicity and am ALL over our hunky Niall! The ONLY downer to any of this is that I have to wait for the next part to see what happens next. I can't wait!

Kiss of Fire by Cathrine Vale.

I have to admit that I am somewhat disappointed with this book. I really liked Adrianne and Ross. Their characters were fleshed out nicely but the story was very predictable to the point I got. I only got about two thirds through. I am very sorry that I just couldn't finish.

Dark Within, Mythical Knights book 1 by Candice Gilmer

OMG! I didn't think Marissa and Neil's story could be anywhere near as good as Kelsey and David's but I was sooooo wrong. With Neil saving Marissa three times, kicking Kirk's toosh for trying to hurt Marissa and with Neil so in love with Marissa you just can't imagine them not being together but wait and see what happens. Poor Marissa so confused over the lose of her family and being all alone, or is she?

I really loved Kelsey and David's story. Kelsey so level headed even if she was pretty confused about her feelings for David. David so stalwart even in the seeming rejection of Kelsey. They moved mountains and found each other. It was a great book!

Dominic Her Warlock Protector by Hazel Hunter

This was a very good book. At least the first third and last third were. I found it a bit hard to swallow that a young woman who was on the run and terrified of strangers would jump in bed with one an hour after meeting him. But the story, around that, was very good. Our heroine was very real and Dominic was a hunk. What more could you ask for?

This book is about people who never seem to get the chance to make life affirming decisions. Bad things keep happening to decent people. I am not really sure if I feel sorry for Regan or disappointed. All through the book I couldn't help but think 'this will end well for her, it just has to'. She goes through soooooo much. Then when she could make a better choice and go in a better direction, she makes the ultimate bad choice.
